Enable Dictation on macOS

Turn on Dictation and set a global hold-to-dictate hotkey with Voice Type.

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Go to Keyboard → Dictation.
  3. Switch Dictation to On.
  4. Open Voice Type → set your hotkey → hold to speak, release to finalise.
