I was tired of paying a monthly fee for other tools when I knew my Mac is more than capable of voice to text. Just tried this tool and the quality and speed is perfect. It just works and is a one time fee. What's not to like

There's no shortage of dictation apps currently - but this one does everything you need for a low one-time price (rather than a crazy monthly subscription) - and the support from the developer is nothing short of amazing. Quick responses on fixes and constant improvements. Highly recommend.

Localised speech to text was possible back in the 80's and its great to see someone bring it back again with modern tech. Having the ability to use local models and download them for you is awesome. And then having the ability to hook up large cloud models of your choice without sending voice recordings over the internet is another big win. Well done sir!

Elle n'offre pas certaines fonctionnalités de ses concurrents, mais ses fonctionnalités ne sont pas indispensables. La vitesse et la précision de cette application et de l'implémentation du modèle Whisper qui est très bien faite permet un usage extrêmement performant.

Well, no software is 100% accurate and gets everything right. This does an excellent job of getting my speech down. I am usually typing a lot of emails and also use it extensively for coding tasks. And the occasional Slack and Discord messages and this has just been an absolute blessing. I can just quickly speak and it has the words down. I initially opted in for the trial being extremely skeptical, but this has probably been one of the best buys. This message was dictated as is without any edits.

This is actually very nice. Installation was a bit wonky when enabling permissions, but I restarted the app and it worked nicely. I'm testing it now and it works so well! It's fast and very very accurate. I love also that it has a 1 time payment option rather than subscription fee. I hate rent :)

Would be 6 stars if it was a Menu Bar icon only rather than also in the Dock. This makes a huge difference as Dock apps clutter the app switcher, which is a hit on productivity. Also, Menu Bar-only is a much better fit for an "accessibility" app.

Best Dictation for Mac

I am an avid user of dictation on my Mac using it every day, many times throughout the day and I found the Mac native dictation, albeit improved, still very limited, and also kept messing up a lot of words and I always had to go back and adjust things especially if it was more than one sentence. So I tested out the 5 popular dictation apps and this one is easily the best bang for your buck. It doesn't mess up my words, and I am able to add my own vocabulary/names. It allows you to do the key important things that the other dictation apps also allow you to do without all the extra transcription stuff and larger costs. If you want better dictation this is the app. I have no affiliation with this app or the developers... this is just a really good app.

Mac Sequoia 15.1 caused my dictation to stop working. This is the only thing I found that could get me back to the productivity levels I needed. I'm not usually fond of auto punctuation, but this thing works perfectly. I'm still on the trial level, but I see no reason why I would not move forward with the one-time purchase price. This review, of course, was written using the app itself.

I've tried several tools for dictation. This app takes the cake! Just press the shortcut key from within ANY APP, start talking, and then press the shortcut key again to transcribe. It couldn't be simpler. It produces nearly 100% accuracy. This app is very worth its reasonable one time purchase price. Extremely pleased!

This is a fantastic app. I code, make PowerPoint presentations, and write a lot of emails for work. And I can now just dictate all of it instead of actually typing it out. It's way faster to just dump stuff that's going on in my brain on to either notes or email or something, and then I can very quickly organize it and summarize it and send it off. It's a fantastic productivity gain to be very honest. I honestly recommend this very highly. And this review was written using this voice type using this app.
